Swissport International wins ITM award as Best Ground Handling Company for 2011

This award is based upon an annual survey by the independent London based Institute of Transport Management (ITM) to determine the best and most professional companies within the aviation and logistics fields. This latest survey was conducted through a series of interviews and polls covering suppliers, airports, airlines and passengers by the Institute.

Swissport is delighted to have been named Best Ground Handling Services Company by ITM for the eleventh year in succession, reconfirming its leading position in the ground handling sector.

Swissport achieved a number of milestones in 2010, including the start up of a new hub operation in Munich, the award of Best Cargo Handling Company 2010 and International Ground Handler in Africa. A number of new long-term contracts providing Ground Handling and Cargo services were also secured. The Swissport Group is optimistic about the prospects for 2011 and looks forward to achieving above-average growth in its network, product range and innovation.
